I
found out about Pearl from another member of a pet forum that I belong
to called Pet Talk.
She and her three brothers had been dumped in a feral
cat park in Arizona. They were found in a cage. I was already going to be
adopting a Flame Point Siamese Mix kitten so I wasn't looking to adopt
another kitten at that time. Two of her brothers were taken to an adoption
event and they were adopted together. Her other brother was eventually
adopted by a man.
There was someone who was interested in Pearl but they were going on
vacation so they couldn't adopt her right away. This later fell through so
Pearl was available again. I fell in love with her through her pictures. I
decided to adopt her so I flew to Arizona and I stayed with her foster
parents for a few days. I then flew home with her. I decided to keep her
name because Pearl was my grandmother's name.
Pearl is the smallest of my six cats and she's only nine pounds. She's makes up
for it by having the loudest voice, being bossy, and feisty. Yes she's a
true meezer and she loves me very much. She'll even meow like she's saying
"mama". She loves to cuddle with her big brothers Storm and Sky when they
let her. She also has to be the center of attention so she can be very
demanding. Although she's not as mellow as I would like her to be, I still
love her very much.
