Our
Sunny was born around September 2007 behind our work place. He was one
of three kittens in the litter, born to an apparently feral mother. When
we first saw the kittens they were about three months old and were really
scared of us. It took us several months of feeding them and giving them
treats before we could even touch two of them. Then around Christmas the
mother cat just left the three kittens and was never seen again. We continued
to feed the kittens until about two weeks later we found one of them dead. We
made a decision then to catch the remaining two. Once we caught them, we
kept them in our garage at home. One day Sunny decided he was coming in
the house and that he was going to stay with us.
Sunny has turned out to be our greatest lap cat. All sixteen pounds of him. He
will fill your lap up and his purring doesn't have an off switch. Every
day we come home from work and he comes running to the door to greet us.
He also helped raise three other rescues that have joined our family since
then. He is the Alpha of our family of seven cats. He loves keeping an watch
on our backyard from the windows to make sure the birds, squirrels and
rabbits behave. Sunny is our special Bunny Butt cat.
