Pudge
is a one-year-old Exotic Shorthair. Pudge is an amazing cat. Aside
from her unique coloring and adorable face, Pudge has a great temperament.
She interacts well with other people and animals, and you can do pretty
much anything to her. Some might call her lazy, but I like to say she just
isn't that playful. She'd much rather cuddle on your lap, take a nap, or
watch the world go by from the window than waste the energy playing with a
silly toy.
I took a nineteen hour road trip to and from Lombard, IL to get Pudge from
her breeder when she was two months old, and ever since that day, Pudge
has been stuck to me like glue. Like a dog, she would come with me
everywhere I go if she could.
Pudge is currently a non-stop shedding machine, but the only way to brush
her without her attacking the comb (because she thinks it's a game) is to
distract her with something else. It would figure, the only "toy" she
wants to play with is not a toy at all! So I end up distracting her with
her kittenTV as I pull never ending piles of fur from her body. Because of
her extremely dense fur I have to brush her daily when she's shedding and
end up with never ending mountains of fluff.
I do take Pudge with me wherever I can, so she loves to go for car rides
and look out the windows like a dog. Ever since she was a kitten, her
favorite place to sit in the car is on the dashboard.
Pudge is clicker trained and knows to come to me on command. She loves the
smell of chicken and will sit up like a prairie dog for a piece whenever I
cook it. Aside from that, she's very well mannered and doesn't beg for
table scraps. Her personality is very laid back and sweet. We think she's
fully aware of how fabulous she is because she seems to enjoy meeting new
people and generally being the center of attention wherever she is.
