Buddy
is a fun loving cat. He loves to entangle himself in my hair and
sometimes nibble at it. He loves to sit out in the sun and run around outside
with his other neighborhood cat friends. He comes across as a bit
narcissistic due to the fact he is always looking at himself in the mirror
and he loves to keep himself clean. He is constantly cleaning himself. More
than I've ever encountered with any of my other cats. Did I mention he loves
to sleep? Pretty much like every cat but he is extremely lazy. He would sleep
anywhere and it is rare to find him awake.
Buddy always knows how to put a smile on my face. Whether he's doing
something irresistibly cute or humorous, he has never failed at making me
smile. I love watching him outside and becoming one with nature although he
is completely afraid of everything and is constantly on his toes. He
absolutely hates deer and cries at the door to come back in when he sees
them. One thing he is not afraid of is to catch a chipmunk or a mouse and
bring it to the door as a "present". I don't really enjoy that gift
especially when I have to endure the horrid smell and clean it up.
Buddy also is a good listener and cuddler whenever I'm upset. Somehow, he can
sense it so he just lies down next to me and I get to rest my head on his
warm, chubby tummy. Buddy also exemplified over the years a weird dance.
Whenever he looks at himself for a long time, he gets up on his two back paws
and hops from side to side with his arms to the side as well. Sort of like
the well-known dance craze called "The Soulja Boy". It sure brings a smile to
everyone's face. Buddy has a personality sort of like a human. He meows back
whenever we talk to him and he loves human food. His hard food doesn't really
satisfy his sophisticated pallet. He loves to eat what we are eating at the
dinner table. Buddy loves to join us at the table, as well. He doesn't jump
on the table. He just sits there and joins the family's conversation. He sure
is like a best friend to me and I love him. :)
