This
is my beautiful Suki Girl. She is ready to celebrate her 1st birthday at
the end of August. I do not know her real birthday as she was a rescue
kitten. A wonderful organization called Pitter Patter Feline Rescue, Inc.
which is located in Connecticut, took her and her littermates in when their
mother cat went missing. I discovered Suki's picture on Petfinder when I was
searching for a Siamese mix cat. At the time I only had one older cat whom
was not great with children and I felt that it was time for a new addition to
our family. When I saw Suki's picture it was love at first sight! I do not
know why, but I fell in love with her the moment I laid eyes on her photo! I
convinced my husband that she was all I wanted for Christmas and my 40th
birthday!!! (Boy he got off easy, didn't he?!? lol)
So when Suki was old enough, I took my car onto the ferry over to Connecticut
and drove to Suki's foster mom's house to pick her up. It was quite an
adventure! Suki was perfect! She came home with us and adjusted so quickly to
our family. Even our six-year-old cat tolerated her better than ever expected!
Suki Girl is one of the best cats I have ever had. She is so smart, loving,
fun and talkative. She loves to follow me around the house. Even when it is
time for my kids to go to bed she follows me into each of their rooms as I
tuck them in. She loves to be with me when I am cooking or even making my
bed. Sometimes if she doesn't know where I am she will meow and then when I
call her name she will immediately come to me. She loves when I pick her up
and give her some "lovins". She kisses my face and nose and looks at me with
her blue eyes. She even has the longest tail I have ever seen on a cat
before! I love her so much and am so happy to have her in my life. I wish
more people would find it in their hearts to adopt homeless pets.
