I
would like to introduce our new kittens: Clawedius and Purrcival. They
are three months old, Havana Brown mixes. Clawed and Purrcy were rescue
kittens from Columbia Gorge Cat Rescue. They were left outside in a taped
cardboard box with their mom; all were covered in ringworm. When we
adopted these adorable brothers at ten weeks old, it was after they had
grown back their beautiful brown coats and were well socialized. Like
Havana Browns, they follow us about the house, come over to see what we
are up to, and love to sleep curled up next to us after pouncing and
skittering around the house.
Purrcy seems the more curious and companionable of the two - and certainly
the one that will be purring first! Purrcy has the sleek Siamese type body
with slightly lighter fur. In the photos, Purrcy is on the left, Clawed on
the right. Clawed is a little bit more reserved but still quite friendly
compared to many cats, and a terror to fuzzy mouse toys - catching,
tossing and growling at them as required. Clawed has the round face
Burmese-type body with dark chocolate fur and coppery eyes.
Their kitten capers keep us entertained and the brothers have made
themselves right at home. The bathtub has become a midnight race track for
both kittens with only a few items knocked from counters and windowsills.
And we wouldn't have it any other way.
