We
took Duckie in as a kitten, we'd found her in our back yard last winter.
She went from being a terrified little hissing, spitting mess, to being one
of the most spunky, mischievous, and affectionate cats I've ever owned.
Duckie definitely thinks she is top cat in the house. She'll strut around
with her favorite rabbit fur mouse in her mouth like she just came back
successful from a hunt. There's never a day when she isn't getting into
trouble. From jumping back and forth between china cabinets, to hiding in our
packing boxes in the basement only to attack your feet. One of Duckie's
favorite things to do this time of year is sit at the window and cackle at
the snow. She could sit for hours.
We think Duckie has the perfect personality for a cat, she's aloof, but not
too much so. However when she wants attention, she certainly knows how to get
it. She'll jump right up onto her favorite chair in the living room, and flop
onto her back all cute, or come right up to you and push her paw against your
cheek. She certainly does know how to tug heartstrings with those eyes!
At the end of the day, I always know I have Duckie to come curl up right
against my head on my pillow. We love her to pieces.
