I
found Webster on the Petfinder.com web
site in 2008. I was looking to adopt a big male tuxedo after losing my other
male tuxedo Sylvester suddenly to a blood clot earlier in the year. The
picture of him on the website was of him in his cage --all seventeen pounds of him
--and he looked so sad I just had to take him home. I was informed that he
had been found on the streets of Waterbury, Connecticut and he was found with his paw
caught in his collar so they nicknamed him "The Stray Collar Kitty". Although
his name was Webster I never call him that - I mostly call him "Handsome Boy"
because as you can see from his photos he is the most handsome boy in the
whole wide world. And as he has a natural tuxedo, of course, he is properly
dressed for every and any celebration!
He has blossomed into a twenty+ pound cat and completely rules my day, telling
me when to wake up (5 am) when to feed him, when to have snack, when to let
him out, when to let him in, and when to go to bed. Once in bed, he makes
himself comfortable either by laying completely on top of me or laying his
head on my stomach or in the crook of my arm. He keeps me so warm at night I
barely need any blankets at all. He loves to lay on his back and he is the
only cat I have ever seen that lays on his belly with his feet sticking out
straight behind him. He is my cat of the day every day.
