Daphne
came to us from Toronto Animal Services a month and a half ago,
where she had been "in custody" for two months after being picked up as a
stray. She has a micro-chip which states she is six years old - her
original owners had given her up and somehow she ended up on the streets.
In any case, she was rescued and now she is ours. She is just as sweet as
she looks and is very talkative, especially at treat-time.
She is intimidated by our original cat, Maya, (also a rescue) and has
established herself in our bedroom as her safe haven until she settles in
and stops seeing Maya as a threat. She wanders around the apartment at
times but returns to her room regularly and still spends most of her time
there. We will give her all the time she needs to adjust to her new
situation and to relax and feel safe.
As you can see, she looks like a six-month old kitten although she is six
years old and is very beautiful. She has a lovely temperament, enjoys
being groomed, and is now living in her forever home.
