was abandoned at a local pet store I work for. Sadly, kittens are
dropped off frequently because of the Humane Society adoption centers that
are located in all our stores. They do not take in drop offs at these
centers, but I suppose people think they will just take them in and take
care of them, when sadly, that is not true in some cases. Usually owner
surrenders are put to sleep that day if the shelter is full . With being a
solid black kitten, she would probably not find a home as it seems solid
black cats and dogs have low percentages of being adopted. I could not
bear the thought of this sweet little ball of fluff being put to sleep or
sitting in a cage for most of her life. So, I took her home. I am a sucker
for solid black cats. It was just meant to be. I took her to the vet the
next day and she cleared with a clean bill of health! She has taken to wet
kitten food and has a voracious appetite for her size. So she's not gonna
stay this little very long! :)
