I
would like to nominate my Tigger for Cat of the Day. He is 19 1/2 years old
and my kitty of the heart. He has Chronic Renal Failure and was diagnosed back
in February of 2010. He has made it far even with the disease. Every day
together is a blessing!
I've had Tigger since he was ten days old; he was a bottle fed baby along with
his sister Taylor who journeyed to the Bridge in 2010, Tigger has Chronic
Renal Failure, we received his diagnosis a week to the day that Taylor left
us. It was devastating at the time.
Tigger is a mama's boy; he'd rather be with me than any other person or cat in
our household. He loves attention, and to be petted and stroked and fussed
over. He likes to be close to my chest and will climb into my robe to snuggle.
He is very easy going and loving with humans, but not so much with our other
cats. However, he was extremely attached to his sister Taylor.
The only trick that Tigger ever performed was deftly removing the lids off of
pet treat cans with his teeth, so he could sneak some. He has slowed down
during his 19 1/2 years, and does not play much anymore, but he still adores
catnip! He loves to taste it and to roll around in it, thus I always make sure
to have some on hand.
