Hi!
My name is Blue! My mom adopted me when I was ten from the local animal
shelter. She was getting older, so she decided to adopt an older kitty. I am
so glad she did as we older kitties get passed by at the shelter for the cute kittens.
Anyhow, since the day I came to my new Forever Home, Mom and I have been close
as two peas in a pod. She calls me her "Daemon" (read "The Golden Compass" to
find out about that!). I guess that's Mom's way of saying I am her Soulmate!
When Mom's feeling affectionate, she calls me "Bluey" and "Bluish." I got that
name from my first parents for the color of my eyes. In case you are
wondering, although some blue-eyed white cats have hearing issues, I can hear
fine and am also telepathic!
I'm fourteen now and still going strong! When Mom first got me, I was so tired
of being locked up in a cage for five weeks (!!!!!) that I ran Mom ragged with
my need to play for hours and hours, even at 10 years old! Mom looked up
information about Turkish Angoras and found out we love to play.
One of my very favorite games with Mom is when I hide behind the blanket
hanging off the couch and she tries to get me to pounce on the mouse-toy on
the other side of the blanket when I can't see it. I also like to wait until
the cat-toy comes to a rest and then pounce on it. Mom likes to steal it away
just at the moment I pounce, and then I've been known to run around in circles
chasing it.
Mom can't get over how beautiful I am, she says! And she can just look and
look at me doing anything, even nothing ... she likes to just "drink me in." I
love Mom the same way!
