I
want to honor my cat Pepper, who is now fifteen years old. She is a rescue cat
that I got when she was eight weeks old. She was so tiny! She is still small,
weighing just over seven pounds, and never got overweight like some older kitties do.
She loves to go outside and lay in the sun and she also helps by keeping me
company when I work in the garden. At night she snuggles in my lap to watch
TV or read with me. She likes it best if I am working on a quilt and she can
lie underneath it. She also helps by testing the finished quilts to make sure
they are cozy and warm.
She is such a sweet kitty! My husband, who never liked cats, plays with her
all the time. They take a nap together almost every day. Pepper lives in
Massachusetts with us and with our other cat Phish.
