Hi,
I'm Ruby. I adopted my mother about eleven years ago, I was around two
years old and was wandering round a strange neighborhood when I came across
this lovely granny flat and decided that it had everything I needed. I was
invited in and made myself at home, the lady was so kind and fed me. I know
she tried to find out who I belonged to but no one came to claim me so I
stayed with her. She also had a bird which I wanted to get my paws on, but
one day he flew away as his cage collapsed outside and off her went, my mum
was sad but I was kind of glad because he was getting way too much attention.
I stayed with my mum and used to catch the odd bird which I would bring home
for her as a present, she wasn't too pleased when she had to clean up all the
feathers. We now live in a lovely townhouse with a courtyard, and I am able
to laze under the palm trees and while away the hours. I love to catch rats
and mice and still bring mum home the odd present. I love to sleep on her bed
and snuggle up with her. I like that she has friends over, not to sure about
men though, I am more of a ladies cat. I have a special Auntie who looks
after me and comes to stay when mum goes on holidays, she adores me and I
have lots of fun with her. I am very spoiled and get the best of everything,
I was sick a couple of years ago and had to have a thyroid operation but am
now feeling wonderful, thanks to the vet and my mum. My vet calls me a Cross
Burmese with attitude, whatever does he mean?! I have a great life and go
around the neighbor's places and visit when I want to, I also have a cat door
so I can come and go when I please, but I do have a curfew in the evening. I
am really in charge but don't tell mum. I have just turned thirteen years old, and
plan on being around for a while. I am so lucky to have a great mum who takes
care of me and spoils me.
