Sasha
is my "perfect little present!" Even though her age is unknown (the
vet estimates between nine to eleven years old), I have only had her for about 2.5
years. I call her my perfect little "present" because she came to me at a
very difficult time in my life.
One day, the sweetest, most affectionate little kitty showed up on my
balcony. She immediately jumped into my lap and began purring - our "balcony
visits" immediately became routine. I posted signs and tried to find her
home for about a month, but no one ever claimed her, and she had seemed to
not want to leave anyway, which suited me just fine! So, I really think she
is my little present - a gift that was sent to me - to raise my spirits!
Sasha has quite the personality! She is definitely a comedian and is very
quirky! She is like a puppy, in the sense that she waits in the window for
me to come home and as soon as she sees me get out of the car, she jumps
down and is waiting at the door. She also follows me around the house from
room to room, always wanting to be with me. Sasha also has some very unique
preferences and is very verbal about them (she is definitely a "talker").
For example, in addition to having a regular water bowl, she loves for a
little bit of water to be in her food bowl. If I don't put water in her
food, she will pick up the bowls with her teeth and let them drop, in hopes
of splashing the water into her food bowl. She also has a special glass that
sits on my bedside pedestal that she prefers to drink from. And Sasha loves
people's hair!!! If someone is sitting on the couch, she will walk up on the
back of the couch and sit behind their head, and will actually hold their
head with her front paws and lick and try to chew their hair - she goes
crazy - and it is hilarious!
Sasha is my perfect, lovely girl and I couldn't be happier that she is part
of my life!
