Mewow
(formerly named Coach) and her brother, Bradley, were rescued off
"death row" just in the nick of time by a very kind person; Joy P., of Cat
Tails, Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland. I agreed to foster both cats until forever
homes could be found for them. The day I took them in hurricane Irene hit
our area, so they spent the first three days here with us without electricity,
but we all did fine.
A month later Bradley found his forever home, where he is loved and
adored, but I couldn't find a home for Coach, whom I renamed Mewow because
that's the way she meows and it's the only name she'll respond to. Mewow
is such a sweet, loving cat. She "talks" to me all the time and every
morning she waits by my bedroom door for me to get up. She follows me to
the kitchen, "mewowing" the whole time, and rubs her soft fur against my
legs, giving me my "morning tickle."
Mewow quickly became a "foster failure" and has found her forever home
here with me and my family. I am forever grateful to Joy for rescuing her.
I couldn't imagine life without Mewow to brighten my days, especially the
mornings. I came so close to missing out on her love and companionship. I
appreciate every day with her and urge everyone to adopt a shelter
cat/dog, especially from a kill shelter, as they don't have much time to
find loving homes, which they all deserve. You will get lots of love and a
lifetime friend and family member in return.
