This
is my baby Zelda. We live in Sarasota Florida along with my other cat
Riley. The two don't really get along, they mostly ignore one another.
Zelda has been with me since she was about seven weeks old. People who lived
next door moved out and left her behind for their roommate to deal with.
She was out exploring the area so I took her on home so she wouldn't end
up like so many other strays in our neighborhood. Zelda hardly ever makes
a sound; when she does it sounds more like a cry than a meow.
Three years ago she was diagnosed with renal failure. She receives fluids
(from me!) almost daily. She has been a real trooper as her the back of
her neck is now like a pin cushion! She is there every day to greet me
when I come home. And she sleeps beside my head every night. I have had six
cats but she holds a special place in my heart as we struggle together to
keep her healthy and with me for as long as possible.
