This
is my blue boy Frost or Frosty as I like to call him. I call him
Smurf more than anything else because for one, he is blue and for another,
he is the smallest of our furfamily. I joke and say he is three apples long,
not three apples high. Frost has been with us since the day he was born. His
mamma Bella was abandoned near our home and chose us to be her new family.
Before we could gain Bella's trust and get her spayed she was with kitten
and my little smurf was one of them. His littermates have all gone to
wonderful furever homes.
Frost was a wild little monkey when he was younger. As he has gotten older
(I can't say grown up as he is still like an eight or nine month old kitten in
size) he has mellowed. He is a lot like his mamma in the fact that he
loves comfort and he loves the heat. He prefers dogs over cats. He has
never met a dog he hasn't loved. Whereas his furbrother Pirate is a thorn
in his side. He is quiet and sweet and loves loves feet. He doesn't attack
them, he loves all over them. He is a strange boy. But it is his strange
little quirks that make him who he is.
He is the fussbudget of the family. He will eat nothing but his dry food.
But not any type of dry food. He will only eat Royal Canin food and of
that he will only eat "fit 32" and "sensible 33." We have tried adding
another type for sterilized cats, but he will actually pick around it.
Same goes for what he drinks. He will drink only water. You can try
anything and everything with this boy and nothing goes. He is that
finicky. Just another of his little quirks I guess. Another of those
quirks would be, he hates our bedroom door being closed. Every other door
in the house is ok but our bedroom door must remain open. If the door is
closed and he isn't in the room ... he cries. If the door is closed and he
is in the room ... he cries. Silly, silly boy. These are just a few of his
little whims. And we love him for each and every one of them. They are
what makes Frost our little Frostyman, our little smurf. And he is purrfect.
