Hi,
I'm Millie. I came from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Ann Arbor, Michigan
with my former "parents," but apparently their allergies led to my being
adopted by my new "mom" five months ago. I've really enjoyed taking over my
new digs here. My predecessor, I'm told, was a cat named Dannon, who was
very much loved, so I had big paws to fill. My mom says I'm clearly a very
dainty lady, because I just exude femininity. I'm delicate, I tread softly,
I give the sweetest, most innocent looks, and I'm not too rough-and-tumble.
However, I have given my new mom a few challenges. I guess her biggest
gripe is that I won't let her sleep beyond 4:30 in the morning, since I
start scratching at the sides of her bed to wake her up to feed me. She
says she's done with waking up in the middle of the night to feed babies,
so she closes her bedroom door and I sit outside the door crying and
scratching at the carpet, What she doesn't know is how I was raised before
coming to her, so maybe that's how I got into this habit!
But I sure make things better for her during the day - when I follow her
around the house and stay at her feet, watching and observing everything
she does. Sometimes I guess I get too close to her feet, and I get stepped
on and then she says words that are not so nice, or else she trips over me
and says those same words. But I also charm her in the evening when it's
time to snuggle up next to her on the living room couch and we watch TV
together. She says I curl up into the cutest positions and let her stroke
me for hours. I make these sweet, endearing expressions when I'm sleeping!
So my feminine charms and my soft, cuddly body definitely work in my favor!
And, if I have to say so myself, I am adorable, and I have no problem
posing for pictures, as you'll see here.
I'm sure glad to be living with my new Mom and plan to stay with her furrever!
