was a special surprise. I was saying goodbye to my father and saw her hiding under
the tree in front of my house. I knew there had been a kitten hiding there for a while
now, but I never was able to check it out. She was skinny and her fur was matted, and
being an animal lover, my heart reached out to her. She was scared to death of me, and
anyone who walked by. I realized it wouldn't be that easy to bring her inside. I sat
outside with her for at least two hours a day for a week, and finally she sat in my lap. I
brought her inside and she warmed up right away.
Since she has become my pet, she's become quite the little hunter. She likes to bring me
things like roaches, crickets, mice, and birds. She's having trouble with birds though,
since she's so little. She loves playing with my mother's chihuahua, and they chase each
other all around the house. My three other cats are still getting used to her. Also, she
loves to watch tv with me. She sits right bellow it and stares up until the show is over
She is very affectionate with me, but tends to run when my friends come near her. I read
that former feral cats bond closely with the person who tames them, but maybe in time
she will allow visitors to see her, too!
