I
received Vergil at a really hard time in my life. I had been dealing
with a lot of personal problems at the time, and on top of it I was
becoming worn out by working and going to school at the same time with
nothing to look forward to when I came home. He was my Christmas present
from someone I love very much, and since he's come into my home, I can't
get enough of him. He's there for me when I sleep, he's always around when
I need someone to pick me up once I've fallen. It's almost like he can
sense when I'm upset and pick me up again.
Vergil knows a few tricks. He sits before being fed a treat, he walks on a
leash and harness and loves running outside at night. When he was a kitten
he was a stray, and ate bugs for survival. Now he jumps at flies and hunts
little bugs just for fun. It's adorable!
During the day he lays in every sunbeam he can find, and I've set up a cat
condo in my room right next to the window so that he can stay with me in
the mornings and stretch out to feel the sun rays across his tummy.
At first there was a little turbulence, he didn't really like me all that
much and even now he doesn't really seek me out for petting all that much,
but when he thinks I'm asleep he'll come and curl up at my side and just
snooze the night away. He might not be the most special cat in the world
to anyone else, but to me he's my baby, and I wouldn't give him up for the world.
