This
is our girl, Rose. Rose came from a pregnant stray mother that wandered
near our home one day. We fed and watched her, then she had her babies under
our porch. She had two kittens with gray haired and blue eyes, one black with
small orange streaks, and a calico.
Then she vanished abandoning her cats behind under the porch. (Later I
discovered her deceased in the woods. We assumed it may have been an animal
because we are close to woods.) On the brighter side, my uncle did coax the
kittens out from under the porch. Knowing that we couldn't manage four more
cats in the house we called the local animal shelter to take them. In the
end, we chose Rose personally because she was so sweet and calico cats are so unique.
Since then, Rose had kittens of her own. (They were also two kittens with
gray haired and blue eyes, one black with small orange streaks, and a
calico.) We donated them to the animal shelter, they all got homes! These day
Rose is a lazy cat, she loves to snooze next the window. Additionally, she
gets along with our older male cat that we have had since 2001!
She does love the outdoors but only when it's sunny, not days like it this
picture! She had insisted she wanted to go outside, but was not pleased once
she got out there! We love her a lot!
