This
handsome fellow's name is Sterling. He was adopted from a local animal
shelter along with his "sister" Lana, who is around the same age. Sterling is
special for several reasons, one being that he loves feet. If you happen to
have your feet hanging off of the bed, the couch, wherever, he'll come over
and rub his head and face all over your feet. And sometimes he doesn't even
care that you have shoes on. However, personality wise, he can be skittish at
first, but if you're around enough, he'll get used to you and make his presence known.
One of the funnier things I've found is that he doesn't really meow very much
unless he is getting ready to get fed, then he meows until the food is put in
his bowl. He also likes going after bugs that get in the house, and he'll
chase them around if they're visible, but if not, he'll stare in its general
direction until either the bug comes out or he gets tired of waiting. And
since we got him as a kitten, my brother in law seems to find it appropriate
to pick him up in the air with both hands like Rafiki does with Simba in the
Lion King and sing, "The Circle of Life" every now and again. Personally I
find it hilarious, but Sterling ... not so much. Something else that is neat
about him is that he's grey striped until you get to his paws, which are all
white except for one toe on his front left paw. Given that observation, we've
nicknamed him "Grey toe". He's super adorable and we're glad we got to take
him into a loving new home! We all love him very much!
