Emmylou
and her siblings were born this past May - there was a total of five
kittens in all, and while we found homes for her three brothers, Emmylou was
always the keeper of the litter in my mind; our cats have been continuously
named after musicians, and she is no different. And when we wound up holding
onto her sister as well, it was the more the merrier. She can be extremely
hyper, racing back and forth from the front bedroom through the kitchen and
down the hallway like a wind-up toy. Like her father, she rarely purrs, so
it's unexpected and entertaining when she does. Like any cat, she adores tuna
and will not leave you alone as long as you're holding a can opener. Her
favorite games involve wrestling with her sister, stalking that ever-elusive
red dot, and digging Q-tips out of the bathroom trash can so she can bat them
around for hours. We love our Emmylou!
