Hi!
I am Berty. I am an adorable gray domestic shorthair with green eyes. My
stripes are really cute and I have tortoise markings on my sides. My first
owner was an elderly gentleman who sadly passed away. I was sent to the pound
in March with my brothers and sisters where my new family found me! I am very
lucky and now get to do all of my favorite things. I love meal time and come
running when I hear the crinkle of the treat bag. I also like to investigate
the human dinner time to see if there is anything to my liking. My favorite
game is fetch and soccer with crumpled up paper. They bought me toys but I
prefer the paper. I have a woodpecker friend who lives outside my den window.
I like to climb up the screen to say hi. My new pet dog is a 80-pound Rhodesian
Ridgeback. She likes to sit on the couch with me and I drink out of her water
bowl. I also help with chores like making the bed and brushing teeth. One day
I accidentally jumped in the toilet trying to get on the counter to help. Whoops!
Earlier this month, I had a 4th of July party and lots of company for the
weekend. I made sure to make everyone feel welcome and let them all play with
me. When I need a snooze I prefer the back of chairs or under the dining room
table. At night, I keep the humans company in the bed. I have only been in my
new home for a month but everyone already loves me and I am fitting right in
for a long happy life here!
She really is a fun cat and we love her so much. We named her Berthillion
after our favorite ice cream shop in Paris and her nickname quickly became
Berty. Checking email and surfing the web is another activity she enjoys but
she will steal your pens from the desk so they now have to stay in the drawer!
