I
may introduce Felix, our new cat. We have him for just over a month. He is
the most playful and most adventurous cat which I have ever seen. Nothing is
safe from him, everything is immediately examined and used to play and
attack. Even handkerchieves are good for playing. Our apartment is looking
terrible now. He distributes paper scraps everywhere and tidying up does no
good. A short time later, it looks just the same as before.
Felix isn't our first cat. I don't know exactly how many pets we have at all
up till now. In the past, we had a dog, too. But I still find that I like
cats better. On one hand Felix is very playful but on the other hand he loves
to cuddle. He cannot lie calmly for a long time, though, he prefers to run
around and then get himself stroked. He doesn't have a special favorite food,
he simply eats everything, and he is permanently hungry. His favorite toy is
a laser pointer. I enjoy watching how he hunts the point but never gets it.
And if he has caught it once, suddenly the point is in another place, then
Felix runs after it again and starts the hunting once more. When we first got
him, he was very shy and didn't want to be stroked. But now he comes directly
toward me and purrs. I love this sound sooo much!
