Blaye
is a ten-month-old Maine Coon who I have had since she was five weeks
old. She is the sweetest, and most unique cat alive.
When Blaye was four months old she got a disease that only 24 out of 100,000
cats have and survive, and she lived! The disease she had is called mammary
hyperplasia. One morning I woke up and she had extreme swelling in her
mammary glands. I took her to the vet and in 30 years of being a vet they had
never seen it and had no idea what it was. I immediately took her to a
specialist who said if we did not give her surgery and spay her by the next
day she would die. During surgery because of the swelling there was a lot of
blood loss and she almost died. However, Blaye has made a full recovery and
is a very happy kitty who lives a very spoiled life!
Blaye is the most affectionate cat alive. Blaye likes to jump up on her two
back legs and hit balls out of the air with her paws. She is very, very vocal
and is always purring or trilling very loudly. Blaye loves to ride in the
car, take showers, and knead and suck on her blanket. Blaye loves to talk,
and she does not know a stranger. I love her more than anything.
