This
is my newest boy Murphy with the freckled nose. The vet said he is
between three and four years old, so I am going with three to keep him around longer!
When I lost my eighteen-year-old Siamese Koko, I thought that my cat Nugget should
have someone in the house with her when I was at work. I found Murphy online
at Petfinder; he was in a small sanctuary in Brimfield, Massachusetts called Here
Today Adopted Tomorrow (and he was, by me!). The picture of him in a box was
taken at the sanctuary before I adopted him.
He has a notched ear because someone originally thought he was a feral cat;
he was found spending the whole winter last year outside in a feral colony,
just trying to eat to stay alive. The kind women of this sanctuary took him
in only to find that he is the most loving big guy ever! He will kiss your
face with an open mouth to wet your cheek, and if you are sitting next to
him, he will put his head either under your hand or under your armpit to
force you to pet him! For a big guy he is pretty gentle unless you touch his
stomach, then the war is on!
He had a yeast infection in his ear when I first got him, but my vet took
care of that, and now he is just a huge bundle of love. He and Nugget will
chase and catch each other every morning when we all get up, with arms locked
onto each other into a fighting ball of cat, but as long as I don't see
blood, it's all good!
