Morton
was found by a TNR rescue group. He was immediately recognized as a
tame boy. He was filthy, starving, and had wounds on his face. He would have
died soon without care. He turned out to be FIV+. If he would have gone to
the county shelter, it would have been a death sentence for him. I adopted
him, knowing he needed a chance at a good life.
Now he is the beautiful boy you see today, a far cry from those sad days for
him. He lives a healthy, happy life with his feline siblings. FIV is only
contracted through deep, multiple bites. So there is no danger of him passing
the FIV to his siblings, as they all get along very well, and things are
peaceful! Morton has his own Facebook page, Morton for Mayor. He represents
cats who deserve a second chance.
