This
is our beautiful, photogenic Sally. She is such a lady! Her full name is
officially Mustang Sally Ride, as she arrived in our neighborhood in the
engine of someone's car. Unbelievably she suffered only a slight burn on her
nose and upper lip. She is an elegant lady with a very spirited soul. She
also believes we can do much better with our tree decorations ...
Sally has a strong independent streak, but at the end of the day, she is all
cuddles and purrs. Her favorite toy is a little stuffed cricket with wings
that make a crinkly sound when she plays with it and carries it around. If
you're not there to toss it, no problem. She just throws it into the air and
chases it all over the house. We are continually "rescuing" it for her when
it escapes under any and all heavy furniture.
After we'd had Sally for a month, we decided to adopt a playmate. Oliver, or
Ollie, is the sweetest boy you could ever hope for. He's polydactyl, so he
has plenty of extra toes to grab toys, Christmas tree limbs and bare legs! He
and Sally have become fast friends and their antics are so fun to watch they
often make me late for work! We are looking forward to many years of joy and
laughter with these two sweethearts.
