This
is the first cat we've adopted. My brother in law found him in the
street at night and brought him home to give him food. But that night we
wasn't ready to adopt him, and put him outside. He walked away back to the
street again. But next morning, I saw him at the street, and he followed me
until my home. Then I decided to adopt this poor, hungry, abandoned and dirty
kitten. He was about three months old.
This kitten was very active, energetic and playful. He liked to play, indoor
and especially outdoor. He also liked to hunt small rats in the yard, and
brought small rats two times. Not for eat, just for play. His favorite place
to eat, until now, is on washing machine. And because we put washing machine
next to bathroom door, sometime he waited there when we were in the bathroom.
About three months after we adopted him, he got sick and the vet diagnosed
that he got kidney problem, some infection there. So the doctor suggested not
to feed him with some fish that contains too much salt, like milkfish. Now he is fine.
This cat is a natural alarm for us. When he has no friend, he always asked to
sleep in my room, with me and my wife. If we slept early and closed our door,
at midnight he would knocked the door, meow, and asked to get inside. Then
every morning he would wake us, especially my wife, to ask for food. Now,
when he has many friends in house, he still like to sleep with us in our bed,
and his favorite spot is between our feet.
Now he still active, even not as active as when he was kitten. But he still
love to play, running around the house, chasing dragonfly, play with ropes etc.
