Karu
was brought into our family after the passing of our previous cat. We
found him at the Cat Protection Society as a kitten. At first we thought he
was sold because a woman was holding him for a while, but then she handed him
to us and commented how gorgeous he was. We took him home that day, he sat on
my lap and stared out the window the whole car trip.
As he grew older his personality was showing more and more. He would stretch
out for a belly rub one minute then have a good grasp on your arm and kicking
it the next until he was finished, then walk off. If I opened any puzzle
boxes within five minutes he would be asleep in the lid of the box, with or
without puzzle pieces inside. Or if you were in the kitchen or any bathroom
you would find him sleeping in the sink when you next turned around.
He is also a cat who sits on the edge of a sink and waits for you to turn the
tap on so he can have a drink. When he is finished he will jump off and walk
past you to let you know he's done. He knocks on the door for you to let him
in and will gladly curl up on the couch in your seat if you get up. He's been
in our family for ten years now, and we wouldn't change a thing about him.
