I
have been visiting Fiona at Petco for a while. I didn't realize she had
been there since April 2013. Her owner died and I guess no one would take her
and I don't know why. She is so sweet, she butts heads with me and rubs
against me. She is a special cat. I have another cat, a three-year-old male named
Lonny, I got him and I have a dog who is laid back. I put Fiona in a safe
room until they could get to know each other a little more. I love her so
much! She is eating and is very well adjusted for a cat that has been in a
small cage since April. She is clean too. Adopting a new pet is such a good
feeling. She is a little overweight now, but as I said, she had been living
in a cage for a long time, so didn't have much exercise or things to keep her
busy. I expect that will change now she has a home to explore!
She is very curious about my other cat. Lonny and she are about the same age.
I have a baby gate up and they can see each other. I think they will be
friends. They have similar personalities. Both were described as "mushes."
They are both sweet. I thought Lonny needed a friend because I have a dog
that sleeps with me and Lonny is lonely. I also wanted to stress how
wonderful it is to adopt an older pet. I really don't think three or four is "old"
for a cat, they can live to be eighteen or older, but she is all litter trained and
calm, no kitten crazies. She is already a well-behaved lady! I love her very much!
