Rocco
runs his own blog, where he has
interviewed such authors as Janet Evanovich, Michelle Rowen, and Carole
Nelson Douglas. He is also the official spokescat for Nathan Fillion (Castle,
Firefly) charity, Kids Need to Read, having raised almost $10,000 in two
years of annual fundraisers held every July on eBay, and from anthologies his
Human, author Toni LoTempio, has participated in. Nathan Fillion has Rocco's
photo hanging in his dressing room LOL. Most recently he was the inspiration
for his human's mystery series featuring a tuxedo cat named Nick which debuts
from Penguin in December. the first volume is entitled, Meow if it's Murder.
Rocco loves to hear from fans!
Rocco was the boss of my other three cats from the moment he stepped out of
his carrier into my home. He immediately struck up a rapport with my gold
tabby, Maxx, and the two of them are thick as thieves! Rocco loves to play
"catch" - usually when I'm trying to write LOL. He likes to bring me his
"ballie" and play fetch - he was fostered before I got him and I think there
must have been a dog that he learned this from. He is also fond of the
"feather on a stick" and the laser point. He also likes to jump at the car
headlights when they are reflected on the wall! Rocco's quite affectionate.
When he was a kitten he used to curl up on my shoulder - if he did that now
he'd break it LOL. He weighs in at 22 pounds (10 kg).
Personality-wise, he takes a cue from Bruce Springsteen - he is "the Boss".
Also, his theme song is Michael Jackson's, "I'm Bad." But in a good way.
