My
baby, Cooper, and his two siblings were found a few days after birth, no
mother in sight. A wonderful friend of my mother's found them and took them
into her home. She hand-fed these babies until they were old enough to find
new homes. My mom adopted his sister, seen in the picture with him. Coop is
not a loving cat, but he is very active and entertaining. He loves to chase
you and be chased. We have quite a lot of fun together. My husband has taught
him to jump and turn off the light switches. It's funny until you are left in
the dark! I look forward to many more years ahead with my sweet baby!
As I mentioned, Cooper is not a very affectionate cat. He does not like to be
held at all, and the three times that he has gotten in my lap in two years, has
been when I am asleep! He loves to play "chase." He will run up behind you,
reach up and hit you on the back of your thighs and then run when you stop.
At this time, you have to chase him for a while, and then stop and let him
chase you. He's a nut!
Coop loves to play in water, be it the sink or toilet. We have to keep
bathroom doors shut unless we are in there, and when we are, he cries until
you turn the water on for him. If you turn your back, he is on the "toilet
paper treadmill!!"
When we are gone for a while, he will help himself to toys that I keep in the
kitchen drawers. We never know what we'll find when we get home! I came home
one day to find him going through, looking for "something." He waited until I
got a few pics to get back down! He also has a stuffed monkey that is kept in
his room, that mysteriously appears by the back door every evening!
He knows how to sit, sit up and catch his treats in his paws to eat from
them. Sometimes he is extremely lazy and lays on the floor, grabbing one
piece of dry at a time, pulling it to him to eat. He is our "Crazy Cat!!"
