Meiko
is a Manx Breed (even though she has her whole tail) and is only
nine-months old. She loves to play a lot, and is very active all day. She is
easy to train, and she likes it when the pencil often moves around when I
draw. Just a few months ago, I have these healthy treats for her, my mom told
me that I've gotta teach her some words like sit, stay etc. But luckily, she
does know what I commanded, she did sit. Meiko is also very mischievous.
Every time she is inside, she tends to always to get up on to the table and
eat the food that she's not suppose to eat.. But that shows that she loves to eat.
We first got her from a cat breeder, who's selling their cat's kittens for
about $50. My mom picked Meiko, because of her big round eyes and her
cuteness. She was the smallest and youngest out the litter, and cutest.
Meiko's "mother" had already taught her to be potty-trained. So it was great
idea to get her (there's more reasons why we got her). I named her Meiko
because it meant "bud". I actually didn't know what the name "Meiko" meant
back then. But once I found out I thought about it for a while and thought
that bud would kind of suit her, because of her small size. but if she was
actually male I would've named "him" Kaito (but I really didn't know the name
meaning for it), from Japanese 海 (kai) "sea, ocean" combined with 斗 (to),
which refers to the constellation Ursa Major, or 翔 (to) "soar, fly". Although
Kaito didn't suit her that well, anyway.
Once we got back to our house with Meiko, she often felt scared and had
always ran under the couch. I kept her in my room for a long while on that
day (so I can keep her away from my younger brothers). Meiko still had to get
used to me though, because she was afraid of "larger" people, like all
kittens are. The next day, I had a feeling that she knew that I was her main
owner. As my mom was cleaning with the vacuum, she hid under the couch; while
I was outside. When my mom was finished I went inside and saw Meiko calling.
When I looked under the couch she came right up to me. I felt that she was
sort of getting used to me.
Now, she hardly ever sleeps during the day (when we first got her she slept
all day) and is very energetic. She knows when I come home from school and
she knows that I feel sad when i do, and comforts me.
She is the best pet anyone could have and a great companion. And the cutest
neko I've ever seen!!
