Bobby
is a pretty relaxed, stalwart, and loving feline. She's been at my
parents' house ever since she was born and loves to take care of the other
cats and their offspring as if they are her own. Her breed is definitely
interesting as we (me, my parents, and a vet tech) all believe that she is
part bob-cat mixed with some other breed of domesticated feline. Even with
that said, she is very caring and loving of anyone she meets and any other
feline, be it the young or old.
She is now seventeen years of age, and still happy and content with her life there.
Bobby will greet me every time, so long as she isn't out hunting
lunch/dinner, at my vehicle when I come to visit my parents. Unlike most
cats, her way of getting your attention and love doesn't involve claws
digging into your leg, but a simple tap of a paw against your leg.
She knows the difference between hurting someone/thing and being gentle. So
far she's raised more than several litters of kittens of her own and
nurtured/raised several other litters from other cats that roam my parents'
place. So she is definitely dedicated to being a loving, nurturing, and
protective feline. Bobby has probably taken on many dogs to keep them at bay
from both us and the other felines that take shelter on the back porch. I
know for certain she took on my American Pitbull, and ever since that dog had
been terribly afraid of her and not once tried to go after her again. Sadly,
that dog is gone, but there are plenty of strays from neighbors that manage
to roam up on that hill to find food and she keeps them away from the porch as well.
We do not know why her one ear is bent like that, not quite sure what
happened. We think she may have gotten stung or bit by something. One day she
was fine and the next her ears were folding up a bit. Vet said so long as
she's still alert and active she'll be fine, and that was about several years
ago before I took these recent photos. She's still a fun loving kitten though.
So all in all, she's a mother, friend, and protector to all the felines that
reside in her territory. As well as being a good friend, and protector to any
human she accepts too.
