Bean
Bag was born to a stray (but not feral) mother in a neighborhood close
to mine. One sibling was run over as they were staying in the yard of a home
right on a busy street. My ex-boyfriend (who was friends with the home owner)
brought her over, and though I had too many cats as it was, I took her. She
was such a beauty, and though I am totally against buying purebred pets for
looks (rescue only in my book!), it's hard to turn away a pretty face in
need! I originally called her Bean as I think it's a cute name, but it turned
into Bean Bag which is even cuter (in my humble opinion). It fits well as
she's so pudgy now.
Boy, Bean Bag has been a force from day one. She took bully status to new
heights and I have to reprimand her loudly with voice and claps several times
a day to stop her play attacking someone not receptive! She's also a load.
Interestingly, when I eat my own meals and have at least six cats around me
begging/stealing, she is not amongst them. I assume she over eats on the dry.
Still, she's funny, very playful, usually up to no good, and a beauty, even
thogh she's overweight. She's a doll - an evil one, maybe - but I love her!
