I was 15 years old when my friend's cat Lish had kittens. It was her first litter, so of course the fifth and last one born was the runt. Lish didn't seem to
want this little kitten. She nursed the others and didn't bother to remove the kitten from her birth sack. She was so exhausted! Well, I decided to take matters
into my own hands. I adopted this little runt, and named her Willow. I cared for her, and was determined for her life to succeed without ever knowing if
my parents would let me keep her 8 weeks later.
As years passed, Willow not only survived ... she traveled the nation. As I grew, my career as a photographer/model
allowed me to travel to beautiful places all over the country. Sure enough, I had my little traveling kitty by my side the whole way.
Today, Willow is twelve years old. The only survivor within her family lines, she is as plump and happy as always.
She is the sweetest, most affectionate, cuddler of a cat I've ever had, and I've had many. Everyone has that "one pet" that they cherish and remember
a little more clearly than the others. Willow and I grew up together! Now, I have a child of my own ... and well, I hope they get to grow up together too.
