Anakoni
and his brother were found at two weeks old in a shed, abandoned. They
were rescued and bottle fed. Sadly, his brother didn't make it. At that time,
his name was Trouble. At eight weeks he was adopted out and re-named Skittles.
Allergies developed, and he was returned a few months later. My heart cat had
just died and I really didn't want another cat but I told my friend that I
would take him if she was stuck for a home. Well... he's now two and a total
joy. He has a very long tail and legs which he stretches straight out behind
him when he lies down. He is very loving and energetic.
I named him after St Anthony since he was lost and then found. I didn't want
to call him Anthony or Tony since we knew people of that name so I found
Anakoni, which is supposed to be Hawaiian for Anthony. P'poki Pelua,
basically means tabby cat, so he's Tony Tabby Cat. That's if my internet
source is right.
Every morning at 3:30 he likes to come and bump his nose into my face and
purr like a hurricane. It's way too early, honestly, but he's so endearing
that I let it slide every time.
