Why
is he special? Look the pictures. He looks like a little lion. And he
often is called a lion. His personality is also like a lion. He'll eat
something, go and patrol the garden and sleep. Our garden is about 250 meters
square (820 feet) and is cat safe. Boomer is the boss of nine cats, five Maine Coon,
three BKH and one mixed breed.
Boomer came to us as a fourteen-week-old Kitten. He is our fifth cat. His personality
was already at that time as if he was a big Lion. He was accepted
immediately. Gismo, the boss, also accepted him. When he grew up he became a
proud eminence. He is the real boss, but doesn't show it. He is more the
strong, silent type. Sometimes he goes and plays with the other big ones.
Boomer is the one who stayed by my side when I was resuscitated and
defibrillated in October of 2012. My wife couldn't get him away out of our
livingroom. I was halfway to the rainbow, but came back. My wife told me that
he missed me when I was in hospital. Today he often comes and sits on my lap
and I cuddle him. I will do that even then when I don't feel good. Sometimes
it scares me a little, because he notice that my health isn't good before I
recognise it. In the evening he lays by the side of my wife and warms her. He
purrs as loud as a lion. Thats why he is our special little lion.
