Sirocco
has a very sweet and placid nature that matches his undoubted good
looks. He still behaves like a kitten, doing kitten things as he discovers
his world, but he also can be affectionate. He loves a pat and a tummy rub.
He loves his new home as he has a long corridor to race up and down and a set
of stairs where he sits to ponder his new domain. It is clear that he now
owns our house and we exist only to serve, as it should be.
Sirocco is our first kitten since the passing of our much beloved cat Byron
about six months ago. Byron shared our home for twelve wonderful years before
he became very ill. He will understand that we need to provide a home for
another cat. Sirocco came from the Cat Protection Society in Melbourne who do
a wonderful job looking after homeless cats. He came to us on a really windy
day, hence his name. My partner wanted a ginger cat as they usually have
great personalities and Sirocco was the first ginger kitten she saw. He was a
bit sad upon leaving his mother, but quickly adapted to his new home.
He has lots of new toys and he is incredibly dexterous at kicking tennis
balls around from one end of the house to another. He should be a soccer
player. He is also really impressive remembering where he last stashed his
toys as he quickly finds them after not playing with them for a few hours.
But his very best trick is eating, he's very good at it and he has grown six
inches since we brought him home eight days ago.
