This
is Zipper. He was about six weeks old when our neighbor found him under
her car on a cold night and brought him to us.
We had lost three cats to illness in a year. We were grief stricken, and
reluctant to adopt another when Zipper stole my heart and he has brought so
much joy, laughter and love to our home.
Aside from catching & eating flies, one of his favorite things to do is to
drag his fishing-pole toy around the house, which is especially exciting when
he drags it down the stairs!
When the dog, Lucy, first saw Zipper she was curious and kept smelling of
him. Zipper, not sure of what the big object, was kept swatting at her until
they both gained some mutual respect. Lucy is a sweet dog and she was patient
so they soon became best buddies. Now they play with each other and get along
just great, she barks and jumps at him but he is not that impressed. I think
he thinks he can take her but he would never try.
Zipper is a sweet cat, he is independent but loves to get us engaged in some
tactical games so he can get some much needed sleep. He has recently started
sitting on our laps for short periods of time.
Zipper is also very experienced at hitting, catching, chewing and chasing
balls of paper. He practices this every day and they are scattered all over
the house. We love him!
