Tiger is what my Dad named him, since he looks like a tiger with his long fur. He has a long story attached to him; His mother is my cat named Kitty,
she is a tortoiseshell and his father is unknown. He was born at my old house in town. He now lives out of town on my parents' farm. When he was born he
had two brothers and two sisters. A couple of days after his birth we had to move him, since at the time my parents were moving out to the farm. It was hard
getting them there. We didn’t have a car carrier, so we had to take them up in a box. His mother was very stressed. I was scared she would run away once
we got there, but when we got there she was fine. I was so happy! The kittens had a wonderful life growing up at a farm with lots of nature around them.
We kept him and his brother that is also Tabby but has short hair, named Kaito.
One day when I was over my parents' place, I was in the pool table room
when I could hear a loud painful cry coming from outside. It was coming
from underneath my brother's car. Tiger was standing up crying for me to
help him. He couldn’t move very much, only a couple of steps. He was so
skinny as he hadn’t come home in two or so days. We didn’t think
anything of it since he’s done that before. I picked him up and ran to
my Mum showing her him. My mum was devastated. We thought he was bitten
by a snake, since he was starting to catch mice. A week before this his
mother had been bitten by a snake. She fought it off though. But Tiger
was much younger and smaller than her. We took him to the vet soon after
finding him. But the vet didn’t know what was wrong with him. It didn’t
look like a snake bite to them. He was at the vet on an IV drip for four
days. They said that he could still die. I knew he wouldn’t die, he’s
too strong for that. A week passed and he looked way healthier than
before. Now it's like it never happened.
He’s almost one now, his birthday is in October. Oh and now he has a
younger brother named Cougar. His mother got pregnant again before she
and Tiger got sick.
We have taken videos of him:
The day they were born.
Here is one of him playing.
The brothers
He’s the most affectionate cat I have ever owned. I wouldn’t change
anything about him. In the video above Tiger is the playful one, Kaito isn’t as playful.
I love my cat family.
