These two sisters
were found the day they were born - they had been abandoned by their feral mother and were cared for from day two
of their lives by very loving humans. Those humans insisted they be adopted together, which is where I came into the story.
I flew with them across the country to bring them from upstate New York
to sunny California and we've been fast friends ever since. Since they
were bottle fed from the beginning, they are amazingly docile and loving
- I've never had a cat that loved me so much and now I have TWO!
Cali and Tori are both very affectionate. Tori is the cuddler and is
always climbing up onto my shoulders wanting to be as close to me as
possible. Cali is more independent and only comes when she wants to be
petted. Cali is the mostly white kitty, Tori is the mostly gray kitty.
Their favorite game is romping around the house together - they have a
ritual where every morning and every afternoon there is the romp. They
are most playful together. They also very much love their toys - their
favorite toy is furry mice – we have many, many mice around the house.
They also love springs and will play for hours with them. Tori likes
rubber bands, but tends to chew them, so I have to watch her with those.
Tori doesn't like strangers and will hiss at new people, but will let
them pet her. Cali runs and hides whenever anyone new is around (and she
always finds the best hiding places!) it takes her a while to warm up to
new people.
Cali is a talker. She will talk at you when you are petting her and
will ask you for more pets by placing her paw on you and giving you a
little meow - it is adorable. I love them both very much.
