Before Nina came into our lives, my family owned a previous cat that
held a special place in each of our hearts, especially my father's. And
so when our cat sadly passed away, my dad was crushed. He was adamant
that we would never have another pet.
Ten years later, my dad still felt the same, and so when my sister
suddenly brought this little ball of fluff home, it caused quite a stir!
My dad refused to speak to us for three days after that, but he soon
warmed up to the kitten.
Nina has made a great impact to our home. As well as being a great
companion to by dad (after everything, she seems to like him best!), and
she is a constant bundle of energy that keeps everyone happy. Nina
displays a high sense of curiosity that is always a treat to watch, and
she has a particular interest in bags, and whenever she seems to have
vanished out of sight, we can always a small tail drooped out of one.
She is not much of an indoor cat, spending most of her time in the
forest behind our house, often exploring and hunting, to which a number
of mice appearing on our door step have found. However when she is
inside the house, she tends to make herself as much at home as she can,
usually splaying herself across the couch or floor, just waiting to be
petted!
Nina has brought so much joy and love to this family, and I'm glad at
how happy she has made my dad. We have had some times that have proved
difficult for our family, but Nina always seems to be right there ready
to give her support, whether it be in warm cuddles or the odd mouse at
the door! I'm so grateful to have her around, and I hope for many more
years to enjoy with her.
