Kennedy adopted me (yes that's right) when he was 6 weeks old June 9, 2013. I had always loved Russian Blues but had never had one before. Kennedy was the only Russian Blue in his litter, his mom was white and his siblings all had tabby markings. As kittens Russian Blues have stripes so I did not think he was one until the vet confirmed Russian Blue. He instantly became a momma's boy. He would snuggle as close to my face as he could most of the time sleeping on my neck. He would suckle my ears which he still does to this day. The vet said I should break him of that but I decided that since he doesn't hurt me then he can do it for as long as he wants. If it brings him comfort, then that's fine with me.
Kennedy is named after President John F. Kennedy, a strong name for a strong cat. Kennedy loves balled up paper and will play fetch with them, you will get tired before he does. We moved recently and now he is all about waking his momma up every morning around 5:44 a.m. - this is new since we moved. I can't say I am happy about it, since I work evenings and don't need to be awake that early. He greets me every night when I get home from work waiting at the door. He has never thrown up on my floor, he was hacking one day and he went to his litter box to throw up. I did not teach him that, he just did it on his own and still does it. He is the sweetest most loving cat I have ever had.
