Mabel came into my life nearly nine and a half years ago and she has been sweet every day since. I come from a very cat-oriented family with each family member having many, however Mabel was my very first cat that was just mine.
She was found on the side of the road, duct-taped inside a box with her kittens. Her kittens all found homes, but no one wanted to take the mother. An almost two-year-old sounded fine to me as I didn't have the time to train a kitten. So it was a perfect match. She is extremely relaxed, even by cat standards, loving affection and cuddles. I have never had a cat that was so very willing to have her belly scratched, and will submit herself to it for hours. Everyone's first reaction to her when they pet her is that she is the softest cat they've met, all over. Bunny softness levels.
She has Tuxedo patterns to her, although her white hind legs have affectionately been called her "go-go" boots. She came with the name Mabel, and I initially contemplated changing it to something, younger, but over the years I cannot think of a name more suited for her.
And if you are wondering, yes, Mabel he does love the car. There is some panting for the first 10 minutes or so, but after that she just explores and sprawls about. Ahe adopts it as her domain pretty quickly.
