Marvin was found as a stray, apparently he had been straying for a long time. Whilst on the streets he was screamed at, chased and things thrown at him. He has been kicked in the head so severely he was on a drip for 5 days and syringe fed and his face was grossly swollen that the cat rescue didn't realise he had an eye underneath all that swelling. He is FIV positive too, he also had a bad bout of cat flu when found with his head injury. We don't know his age for sure, but guess he is around four years old.
Marvin had issues when he was adopted by us, biting and hissing and attacking, but he is now turning into a beautiful loving boy. He knows he will never be hurt again and we gave him time, love and patience. He adores his cat run so he can watch the world go by in safety, he absolutely loves to play and enjoys a good old snooze on dad's chair.
We have had him a little over a month and he has come on beautifully, we absolutely adore him and he adores us. He loves his food and meows like a dolphin when being fed which is so funny. Marvin is now finding his feet and lets you know exactly what he likes and dislikes, he has a very strong character and we wouldn't be without him, he is our world.
He is not a lap cat, he is extremely independent and likes doing his own thing. We decided to adopt him after our our beautiful cat Binkie was put to rest. I needed to try and get myself some sort of therapy and needed another cat to help with our grief and he has helped us. Life with Marvin is never dull - he is strong minded, funny, affectionate but can get angry if things don't go his way so we make sure they do. Marvin simply is our beautiful boy.
