Sammee
was given to me when she was only four weeks old. Born last of a litter
of ten, she was small enough to fit into a tea cup. I had to feed her every two
hours with a doll Sammee bottle containing mother's milk replacement. I think
that sealed our bond, despite the lack of sleep on my part.
As she grew older, I became her "Mom" and now she is always near me unless
she's sleeping. Every morning she wakes me for breakfast and when I ask her
(in German) if she would like some meat, her answer is always the same meow
which sounds as though she is saying "yah!" She shakes hands with her right
paw, and only that one. She sometimes acts like she's trying to dig through
doors, windows and rugs, too. And at precisely the same time every night
(between 10:30 and 11:00PM) she races through the house like her tail's on
fire, even though she is almost sixteen years old! She is a loving companion and
I'm very lucky to have her love!
